Another so-called “beauty date,” sporting no varieties for this date and mint in circulation strike. The bottom hemisphere of Roosevelt’s busy descends through the colors of a dark rainbow, with the panther chameleon toning pattern becoming more sophisticated the closer you look. The largely untoned reverse has both a very visible and tall die chip on the top of the highest olive leaves, but also a visible but overall minor die-crack from the bottom of the torch through the M in DIME to the rim.

A variety not yet attributed by grading services. A fun variety not just for the mintmark but a favorite of mine for the die cracking on the oak leaves, not to mention the obverse’s boogie circumnavigation two thirds of the President’s nostril!
