Along with the “Old Green Holder” or OGH, the fibers on the upper right rim of the reverse prove this coin’s handling by the Grinch. Related or not, something left this coin beautifully toned! Unfortunate he was too grumpy to hand out an FB!

Absolutely a key date for full bands coins, possibly key for the series in well-struck condition. This example, from an original mint set, was imparted with beautiful shimmering flake purple that tapers into a bit of a smear towards the bottom, although I like to call this character! On the reverse the direction of the lesser-so smear lines almost line up with the rising heat from the flame of the torch!
