1951
PR 66 CAM

A subtle singular cameo with pleasant rose gold toning! While this year has a slightly higher mintage than the key date 1950, there are decidedly less available in deep cameo. I would speculate some of this has to do with 1951 being a slightly less desirable year than the first date the mint continued making proofs again, and this being the second year, I don’t think they got that much worse at prepping cameo dies!

1951 DDO-001 Discovery Piece
PR 67

From my understanding this is the first coin submitted to ANACS that was given this variety designation upon confirmation of its discovery. I would love to find more information about discovery pieces and this particular DDO discovery. Teal toning crosses both sides with hints of yellow against an indigo background. FDR’s got a little bit of hot-lips going on!

1951-D ex: D.L. Hansen

It seems unreal to be able to be afforded the chance to purchase gem coins chosen selectively for D.L. Hansen’s collection to represent the issue at one point in time. I am thankful for the upgrade I’m sure took place to afford me this opportunity and that these awesome coins are being passed along!
